I am unsure how many people ever truly experience what I have been experiencing. When you are overtaken with a sense of knowing that you are living your destiny, apprehension and doubt leave your mind. Your life regains an equilibrium you were unaware you had been missing. The abilities I have acquired though my own curiousity have escalated since my return from Colorado in September. I have made significant impacts in horses' lives this fall and winter. The testimonials are so gratifying and overwhelming. I am opening eyes to what my work is all about. I am in the long process of writing down my findings. A client said so beautifully of my writing skills that the reason I am so gifted with technical writing is to be able to write down everything I find out to share with the world. She is so absolutely correct. I look forward to the impact I will make on the winter circuit here in Aiken as well as look forward to the season I will be enjoying with my great group of horses.

Intro to My Work 08/10/2011

Craniosacral therapy is based upon the cranium and sacrum moving together with a flow of cerebrospinal fluid that is described as essentially a recurrent expression of the embryological development of the brain (sending a message telling the body to remain aligned how the horse was born). This means that the body is constantly trying to remain in alignment which is why compensation happens. The horses eyes will always remain parallel with the horizon, and they will contort their bodies in every which way to keep that. The amazing part of the horse's body is his connective tissue or "fascia". It is directly below the skin and covers all the organs, muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments. It is the support system of the horse's entire body. Its hollow cavity holds cerebospinal fluid which basically means it has its own built in memory card. This is why horses' bodies remember traumas (no matter how small) for the rest of their lives. If the cerebrospinal fluid has an "energy catch" in its rhythm, the horse's body cannot realign to how he was born.  I work on muscle inserts and origins and understand flexion and extension of the muscle contractions and how theyre suppose to work so I know where a horse is "stuck." But remember, the most important thing is that not any one muscle is injured or tight without other amount of problems going on. The muscles work as a system together. This is crucial to the reason why we cannot treat only one symptom. The supporting structures must change. The whole body must recreate its inherent equilibrium.
